Immediate Consultation

Sometimes a repair doesn’t require much effort or time and we don’t want you to have to wait an entire day for something that can be fixed in 20 minutes or less. At the time we check in your computer, the technician may determine that your computer may be able to be quickly and easily fixed. If that is the case, the technician will perform the repair immediately and only charge the consultation fee and any hardware fees that apply. There are a few details to remember when this option is exercised.

• The immediate consultation is provided based on the availability and discretion of the technician.
• The consultation fee is waived if the computer is checked into the shop. If the computer gets officially checked in then the diagnostic fee applies instead.
• If consultation takes longer than 20 minutes to complete the computer will simply be checked into the shop.
• Consultation may include non-repair advice or discussion relating to purchasing new computers or hardware as well as information on using programs and features. Any consultation to this effect that goes over 20 minutes is instead billed as part of our hourly rate.
